Must admit, after last years thread on the subject, (goat boy are you there?) I put this on the backburner but am now coming under pressure to comply by Barclays Merchant services. As I read it they, ie my merchant account providers, cannot, by law, give any advice how to comply and they just refer me to a company called security metrics who are some huge and scary American corporation. Can anyone here, who like me just take cards via a card machine and maybe the odd telephone payment that is manualy keyed into the terminal, tell me if they have complied and how? and how much does it cost.

assuming yours is not one of the ones clad in Stainless steel, then its the outer side panels and lid that need to come off before lifting the cavity off, the other parts you are looking at on the diagram may be the soundproofing felt. If yours is a stainless model then the outer stainless steel panels come of first leaving you with a normal white dishwasher underneath.

a shot in the dark but a shorted heater causes all sorts of problems on these. Need proper test equipment to check it. Its a complex machine so would recommend calling expert help.

Re: Replacing the heater on Bosch SGS43e02

Quite a major undertaking there. Basicly you need to remove the top part of the dishwasher, ie the stainless steel part where the baskets are, from the plastic base unit. Not advised to turn it upside down, although some do it that way. really important to make sure all the water is out of the machine, including that in the resevoir in the side panel, undo the salt cap and let it flow out and then suck it all from the sump. The door also needs removing, the hinge springs string can be detached from the hinges before trying to do so.
Its quite obvious what screws need undoing so wont go into detail. Needless to say make sure its unplugged before doing anything.
As I said, its a major job, dont start it unless you are confident of carrying it through as we dont like it when we are called in a find a massive pile of bits on the kitchen floor.
