Sad to say but I think this year is going to be really tough and we may well see more of this happening.

Biasco? Bricks and mortar? No way.

Having served as one of their unofficial showrooms ❗ for a few years there will be no tears from me. If they want to undercut everyone then now they have paid their price.

    Re: Hotpoint WD71 E30 fault.

assuming E30 responds to tacho impulses then yes, the pcb could be at fault. Pressumed you have looked very closly for cracked/dry joints?

Re: Stoves Diswasher has stopped cleaning stuff in top baske

in the left hand side panel (as you are looking at the machine from the front) there is a plastic moulding that measures the amount of water intake. the hoses that connect that to the sump of the dishwasher are probably blocked causing a lack of water.

why would someone single out Chris 😕

‘Cos it seems to be me that answers all the SMEG/Diplomat d/w queries and there’s only so many answers to a limited number of questions if we try and stick, even loosely, to the “Rules”.

I should point out that there are other members and even moderators who are perfectly capable of answering the questions but choose not to.

    Chris.

Choose not quite the right word, priortising available time is more like it, sorry but just dont have any spare anymore.

AIG worldwide in financial probs according to Times on Saturday…. never paid me without a chase and often round down vat and pay a penny less than the invoice states…..must use the same calculator as connect do for their invoices.

Got a news letter from MFI today with all the new contact numbers for tech etc and lists of all the new appliances….

All appliances which have gone on sale from the beginning of 2008 have had a new method of classification.
    These are:
    ACA – Good
    ABA – Better
    AAA – Best
To view pictures of all the appliances below, collect the winter 2008 appliances@mfi brochure from your nearest MFI store. Howdens Joinery have some new appliances due out later this year.

    Reset procedure for the PCB
With the door open, turn on the appliance and within three seconds push 4 times on the program selection
button – The test program has been selected if the SOAK and STRONG LED’s are flashing
This LED combination represents the test program for the appliances that have a flow meter.
If the above indication is not shown on the appliance, switch the appliance off and try the sequence again
until the above LED’s are shown on display.
Now push on the program button once more to select the version ‘without flow meter’, check that the SOAK
LED goes out, and the display is indicated as below.
Do not close the appliance door, to complete settings switch the appliance off.
Now switch the appliance ‘on’ and test on a SOAK program.
It is possible for this fault to exist on earlier models, if the appliance has had a PCB replaced with the latest
    version. (earlier model are ADP8112 & 8132).

Had to do an airside job at stansted airport for a certain WP who paid for a whole mornings work and car parking fees. Had to take passport and go through security and have an escort! I requested good accurate model and fault information and got it right first time, (pump on a wpl top loader) still took the best part of 3 hours from parking to returning to van. They agreed to pay any second visit charge at the same rate so I wasnt bothered.
Hey Martin, wont it be a laugh if its just a quick press of the rest button! 😆

Why did you not just do it at a premium charge to cover time and car parking? They are obviously that desperate I am sure they would have paid whatever you wanted.
