Tolerence pretty wide on these, Surpirsed it would make a difference. I know Candy always used to tell us to fit the correct one but we have all got away with 22’s on 20’s and 10’s on 8’s havent we?

No payment issues at the mo. Only the usual slow paying AIG.
Think they got fed up with me arguing all the rejections, dont seem to have had any lately.
Was told our local engineer off sick and to expect a lot more calls……not yet materialised though and TBH how would they expect me to cope with a massive amount all of a sudden which will evaporate once the guys runny nose has dried up.

I use one from this range, they are cheap, small enough for the tool bag and also negate the need for a socket tester too.

dont think that is the problem. Seems the cap is not in circuit when the motor is stopped. thanks anyway.

It is correct, the heater will not recieve a voltage if open circuit. slave on any old heater to prove this but dont leave it on too long!

so on the one I have the button is released when the motor is still. It does give a loud click once the motor is runnign but the switch state doesnt alter. Does that mean a new motor then?

assuming you are getting 230v to the board then it must be a faulty board.

Yes you are right. I now have a wiring diagram but the contact in the block on the top of the motor is definalty open circuit when the motor is still, hence the cap is out of circuit. I cannot work out how it has got that way as the centrifugal switch definatly clicks when the motor is bump started. there must be somthing broken or missing within that contact block.

thanks to both of you for your input. If you can shed any light on that contact block and how it should be please let me know.

can tighten door latch at top to pull in door. IME very unusual to have a leaking door seal.

the only common leak point is where the air break joins into the softner unit in the rh side panel. Usually justs wants taking apart, clean the o rings and a bit of vaseline usually does the trick.
