do you mean a authorised sales dealer or service agent? The only service agency you could possibly get in that area out of those 3 would be by buying an Indesit franchise. A fair bit on that subject if you search.

Is that a Candy WD262 image in that article? Where would they have dug that up from?

Re: How difficult are Miele Repairs?

The biggest problem is the cost of the parts (and lack of trade discount unless you can pull strings better than I could) and the fact that many will go ahead with repairs at a cost that seems rediculously high. Therefore you will end up fitting £250 boards so you need to make sure diagnosis is correct. Yes there is a circuit diagram inside, assuming another engineer has replaced it, but other than that there is zilch tech info out there. Can have a few problems that need pc link to put right. but a lot of pumps, heaters, blockages and currently a whole heap of belts splitting (£30 odd a go!)

If its got that part number on the packet then I am sure it is the one you want, often the mounting differs on these. This one should obviously be normally closed while the tangetal stat is normally open. I think connect have just got the wrong description.

Might be a help if you tell us which connector block you are talking about. Do you mean the terminal block? The wiring diagram shows Neutral as white, live red.

Should be easy to check, just see which pair lead to a relay.

Have searched for the part number but cannot find it right now but they are out there….

If you can get that number Mark I will buy you a drink at Sibson, I have tried to get this on numerous occasions with no joy.

If you post the number I will stick it into ASTRO and see if the part can be ordered.

    Re: Smeg DWF614SS dishwasher F8.

Remember though there are a lot more Smeg products around these days than ever before. A lot of these new build estates are fitted with Smeg appliances. On the whole, Smeg are a lot more reliable and easier to repair then they used to be and, being regarded as a prestige brand, customers are willing to pay for repair too.
