    Re: The 1st intervention

The quick start guide may well be the thing we can most easily improve on as, in the case of my customer the other day, she discarded the book and only read the quick start guide so I a m sure we can easily knock one of those off with all the important facts on and give to the customer along with the guarantee card meaning no need for it to be included inside the machine from the factory.
The book does, surpisingly mention a maintenance wash.

There are 2 schools of thought regarding instructions,(3 if you include the current type written by someone who never uses a washing machine) one is a concise and serious description of features and facts while the other is a more fun “for dummies” style with little cartoons of washing machines jumping up and down etc. making the reading less of a chore while still getting the facts across. I know which I would prefere.

I too have paid the fiver but not sure what for? In the old days we got a floppy disc for setting up the terminal but this time nothing. I validated both as did Jim. Have another laptop here, worth a try?

Its an error of the damper motor, the little motor that closes the flap. needs to send a signal back to the board when open or shut by microswitch usually.

Dont claim liability but offer a £50 credit note against future repairs as a goodwill gesture.

Re: Laughing all the way to the bank

I have been having this out with my rep lately as connect price for some LG bearings was just outragous compared with SEME Not got the figures right now but the seme price was around a fiver while connect wanted twenty somthing quid. both had them in stock. The other matter is the suggested retail price which connect display and base their non special’s price on, is often nowhere near the actual rrp price. Look up some Hotpoint parts on partfinder and see the real price, often less than connects trade price even before Hotperloni’s account holder discount.
My Reps reply to these concerns was price bands, certain items fall into different bands, eg. bearings and each band is discounted seperatly and just cos I get a certain discount rate on, say carbons, the rate for say bearings has to be adjusted seperatly. He suggested that when a price difference such as these occurs, to contact him and he will adjust the price of that band. Doesnt make pricing jobs easy does it.

If its wiring you want, you’ll probably find a schematic diagram wedged under the timer.

Good point, assuming the other engineers had replaced it.

Although fasttrack only cost £45 or even £40 plus vat.
The price this time round has dropped to £50 plus.
The extra setups are setup at Indesit, so if you require to install on three standalones then its an extra tenner plus vat and you have to validate each setup.

i thought the extra set ups only allowed you to access the data accros a network. If you want standalones, you need another full DVD, right?
