    Re: Bosch gaskets interchangeable ?

I thought the supplied ones are slightly easier to fit, maybe there is a marginal difference in size or spring rate or something.

your behind the times there Martin, PMP is talking about large door models and yes there is a heap of diferent part numbers that all appear the same, must be a difference there somewhere so I wouldnt take the chance with the wrong one. These boxes are huge though and take up a lot of van space!

black square box on the outside but the internal part is circular as if the cut out in the back panel is round. Wouldn’t say it is any smaller than the usual 13a plug in oven type.

Not knowing the model but, assuming this timer is a stand alone clock, (rather than some pcb that controls everything) it will be a simple operation but you will need to work it out yourself. Of all the wires to the clock, 2 will be the power to the clock itself and the others conected to either a relay or mechanical contacts. if its single pole then there will only be one pair to short out, if double pole the their will be 2 pairs. I usually just replace one of each pairs spade terminals with a piggy back type (rated accordingly) and attatch the second wire to that.

I actually came here to move the topic last night and ended up replying instead, pretty sure it may have been a rumour when the op posted it anyway….albeit an off topic rumour. anyway Martin please keep it on topic, thanks.

Then I think you should, if you are to contribute further, so just take a look HERE……and it’s cold fill by the way!

Look for the obvious things first Martin no matter what the machine is……….Had this on a Bosch 2 weeks ago; that was all!-Tap was a blue lever= cold but was hot running through the pipe! Thank you for sharing the info on the ISE- bit elaborate to wash clothes is it not? May be a bit too clever for its own good.

I think Andyjawa’s suggestion was a constructive response and the fact the machine is cold fill only has no relevence to the fact that it may be connected to the hot water – worth checking at any rate. I am sure the original poster can tell us if their washing is coming out hot at the end of the cycle or not- a sure sign of hot water fill.

this happens often with BSH orders, lets you quote the customer and basket it but the order is rejected once you try and confirm it (also not letting you order anything else on the same order until it is manually removed.) Am surpised this part has gone though.

    that.

Last time I went in was xmas eve 2011 in Croydon and had a job to find any music amongst the dvd’s, pc games, tee shirts (ironicly mainly of bands who made their name on album sales) and headphones and then I saw the line to pay at the tills and just gave up. Spent most of my misspent school lunch hours in HMV Enfield town and in their day, HMV was a good music store that stocked the obscure as well as the chart stuff.
I will buy the new Yo La Tengo cd in Rough Trade on Thursday having downloaded it today…. Do like to have something to burdon my kids with when I am gone!!

    Re: w/pool ice maker control

model? assuming the usual side by side its all controlled by the ice maker iteslf. there is a mechanical version with stepper motor and cams which swtich on the water valve (level controled by duration)and mould heater as it rotates.
The electronic version works on the same priciple but without the cams. The electonic one has a test button to initialte a cycle while the mech one requires jumper leads to be inserted to test.
The only other control is the infa red sensor which cuts the ice maker if its beam is obstructed by a full ice cube box or open freezer door.

What’s the bottle of distilled water for in the drum, I thought tumble dryers took water out of clothes not put it in?

The water is for the steam refresh, we talked at some length about it before you ordered the appliance. Have you not seen this in the instructions, it does tell you all about it in the green section.

No I havn’t opened that pack up yet they are on the worktop.

Well then I suggest you read them before you use the machine
    :haier:

fat chance of her ever cleaning the condenser then.
