have done heaps of these over the summer, has always been the motor (open circuit). It does take a good 30 secs to kick in though.

one thing for sure, it doesnt work at all the other way around! the long brush wont fit in the short holder-I tried.
Still cannot fathom how the long brush is cheaper than the short one though.

sent last week John, have just re sent. the levers have been deleted, you just need to snap off the ones that any still have them on. Hinges look correct and I can see the hole for the pins in the photos, believe me you just have not yet opened them up enough.

Re: smeg oven door hinges problem

correct hinges then but you must use the pins to re fit them, break off the small locking lever as its not used. I cannot find any instructions to fit from smeg but I know it is a pain and the holes do not line up until the hinge is fully open. The first one I did I gave up assuming they were wrong. I will send you some stuff I have on them that may help. need your email address.

Re: smeg oven door hinges problem

need to insert the 2 pins in the holes to lock down, cannot understand why one has locked-that is probably the faulty one! customer will have been supplied with these when new, no doubt lost since. A couple of smallish allen keys or small screwdrivers will do the job. Need to open the hinge out fully to do so- not easy, I use my foot (if wearing sturdy workshoes) to force it down. Bastard of a job especially if the customer is watching you struggle.
Wondering how you got the door off in the first place?

would have a good look at the wires in the door. The plastic protection is known to split on these and cutting the wires in the process. Would have expected as flashing light had it been a flow meter fault.

Also, could I ask how the warranty works ? I hope I won’t need it, of course, but would I just use the “Find An Engineer” link in the “Contact Us” section of your site ?

    Thanks

You can locate your nearest agent using the find a dealer search on the ISE web site. Or, just call ISE and they will contact the local dealer/repair agent to sort out your service call.
Thanks for making the effort to come over, John. Cannot help you with reviews but I have sold several Asko diswashers locally in the past 15 years and have never had a wash or dry performance complaint and a certain well known, local celebrety chef has 2 in his house (Branded differently but Asko made appliances underneath) if that means anything at all!

but, bet you never see one pop out.
Just wait till you do a condenser clean out on a Miele washer drier you will not believe how tentative the seal is in the tub.
