resistors are as far as I go on electronics these days so wouldn’t know. new resistor is now oc although not burnt out this time. Wondering if it got damaged during soldering. It already looked a ropy one when I picked it up at Maplins as the colour bands were faded so much I had to meter test it first to confirm it was the correct value.

Great little combo those. you can completely remove the washer, leaving the drier in place. Timer for washer is part of the drier with a big old loom and plug down the back. I had to replace a loom on one of these once as removal men had taken a hacksaw to the one when trying to move it. Would happily work on these all day rather than our usual crap these days.

if that’s the usual Jazz type then yes, instructions are in the box. Config number is stated on the rating plate.

cannot see that being the case….. you say not reaching temp, do you mean not getting hot enough for the thermostat to click and light to go out or is stat clicking off at a too low temperature. Pretty basic oven. assume the fan is spinning well? would maybe monitor voltage on element to ensure its constant- maybe a toc is breaking down as it heats?

seems they will supply the part, 7 weeks lead time and £95.
Flat owners are well and truly stuffed though as unless they fit a recirculation hood and blank off the passivent outlet there is no alternative.

given the state of most washing machines we see I wouldn’t fancy going to his place for dinner.

funny enough today, an old Fagor and an old Brandt Ocean washing machine, both we sold way back. Both customers also insist they bought them from our shop only around 5 years ago….my shop shut in 2005 and we had pulled out of retail way before that. Both still going strong, blocked air bell on both of them.

simple once you have done 1. just be careful not to break the mounting clip off the sump when removing the old sensor.. Can be done from front.

would suggest changing that pressure switch, there is a mod kit for it so sounds like it has some issues. 1174745107

blimey, ancient history there but not sure that model has a display so how have you read the code? if its filled wont be the valve, assume pressure switch has not clicked for whatever reason so it thinks its not filled.

the other 2 are for hob hot light, not used on yours at a a guess. 1 pair of contacts therefore should be open circuit and not connected to the ring element at all, ignore that pair. The other connection will go through the limiter and then through the element circuit itself. Use that one for one wire and the one on the side of the ring for the other- its a single ring so not too tricky. Does anoy me that they keep changing these connections. often find wired wont reach their new destinations.
