hello, what are you referring to when you say the Samsung fix?
is it the samsung modification or that you replaced the evaporator cover?

Re: Frigidaire FRC150FF fridge warm, freezer frosting over

Hello Tricia, the one near the light is for the appliance as a whole and the slider is just for the air flow from the freezer to the fridge. No one can really tell you what your fridge should be set at. That is really down to you finding a setting that corresponds to conditions inside the appliance that meet your requirements.
As a useful guide, we always recommend half way on the scale as a starting point. So, in your case, 3-4 should suffice. Try this and edge it up or down, depending on the temperatures that your appliance returns you.
The door not closing correctly thing was certainly true in some cases where the door seal didnt properly meet with the cabinet, but in the majority of cases, frost on the drawer fronts is caused by the air return duct from the fridge to the freezer being blocked with ice.
This results in the fridge temperature being too warm and also frost on the drawer fronts.
We’ve looked at scores of these where the door seal has been perfect.
If you turn off the appliance for a good while, with the freezer door open, this should sort out the issue, at least temporarily.
If the problem persists, then you’ll need an engineer out really.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

ok guys, i’ll throw my hat in to the ring.
ive been doing work through national appliance care for a good few weeks now.
like a poster above, I thought suck it and see. give it a go and if it’s not for us then so be it.
it actually works very well alongside existing work and does it’s bit to help cash flow.
for us it’s another (viable) iron in the fire. the more irons we have in the fire the better, I and many others on here know that from isdal last year.
martin, as incredulous as you are, it does work. we’ve had to pause work many times due to the volume of calls coming through.
i’m also well aware of the past difficulties between Adrian and members of the WTA, but i’m hoping that people can recognize that being in the WTA and working for national appliance care are not mutually exclusive.

Re: AEG75106GA So called frost free

Did the engineer fit any parts, or just advise that you do a defrost?
The freezer evaporator has to defrost itself periodically – typically two or three times a day, depending on the particular appliance.
Yours is obviously not doing and so there is a problem with the defrost circuit.
This could be thermostats, sensors, actual heater itself, or worse case the pcb that controls it.
You should get them out again, have it repaired under warranty and then get some use out of it.

Re: Compressor runs but fridge stays warm ?

you have a system fault. more than likely a loss of refrigerant.
this could be a can of worms and begs a few questions like,
where is the leak from? will it leak again? how long will it last before it happens again? etc etc.
if the leak on the system is visible, ie external, then no probs.
it can be repaired, recharged and should work as intended, provided there is no lasting damage to the compressor.
if the leak isn’t visible, then i’m afraid you have a johnny nash situation – more questions than answers.
no engineer will recharge a system that is low on refrigerant and then guarantee the work if the leak isn’t visible.
it all comes down to your budget and also your inclination and the way you see your appliance.

    Thanks for the replies guys.
I didn’t really know what spotify was. I’ve installed the app and so now I’ve got 48hrs free access.
So I take it for 9.99 a month you can play almost any music you want? Sounds
Iike a good deal really. The only down side as far as I can see is that you need Internet access. I’d be using it mainly on the iPad, playing it on another device.

Re: Replacing my Kupperbusch freezer: decision my hinge on r

If you’re replacing an integrated fridge freezer, then obviously it’s very important to replace with a model as similar to the one you already have as possible, unless you want to involve kitchen fitters etc.
all the makes you mention are good, it’s just the fitting I’d be concerned about.

    Re: fridge not cooling

Which part are you defrosting with the hair dryer? Are you taking the evaporator cover off and defrosting?
If it keeps freezing up, then obviously you have a problem, either with the evaporator cover itself, or components on the defrost circuit.

Great deadline day signing for the clarets – Michael Kightly signs on a season long loan.
    Good business.

I think they’ll have a better season to be honest. I think top 3 is out of the question, but I think they’ll definitely have a say in things.

I think you’ll be ok Mark, after the new signings have had a chance to settle in. I must admit after listening to Glenn Hoddle last week on the radio, I thought that there was a chance you might keep Bale.

You should check out the penalty given against us yesterday Jim!
Thankfully, the keeper saved the resulting spot kick but yet another ridiculous decision.
Last week, we had the keeper sent off for two yellows, the second of which was a compete joke.

    Re: Football Season 2013/14

A mixed bag of a weekend really. United look far from convincing as yet, although the euphoria afflicting Liverpool fans seems a little mis placed to me.
    The arsenal crisis deepens…..oh wait!
Not many goals on match of the day this week.
The championship is as fascinating as ever, with the clarets still going nicely. I’m waiting for the wheels to fall off big time.
Oldham beaten at home by tranmere.
I think it’s going to be the most interesting season for ages.
