Re: Miele K7542SN Freezer Fan working

as a ps, the fan in the freezer compartment stops when you open the door. it also doesn’t run all the time, only when called upon to circulate the cold air.

    cheers.

Re: Miele K7542SN Freezer Fan working

hello paul, if you’ve just plugged in then the freezer display is not registering because it’s not yet cold enough to appear on it’s temperature scale. hope this makes sense. given time and the fact that the evaporator cools down, then the display will start to register.
the fan won’t run unless the evaporator plate is down to a certain temperature. it used to be -15c, not sure what it is now.
the idea behind this is that so the fan won’t run immediately after a defrost cycle, thereby circulating warm air round the cabinet.
just looked at the time of your post, i’m hoping that by now, the freezer display is registering. if not, then you have a problem and it’s time to call miele.

    cheers.

Re: Maytag fridge not cooling properly

hello john, it could be one of a few things really.
are the symptoms exactly the same as before you had the pcb fitted?
if so, then it would be fair to assume that the engineer should at least come back out and check his work.
it could be a system fault or a defrost problem.
certainly at setting 7, it should be very cold.
i’d call him back and see what he says.

if it’s the compressor then £230 isn’t a bad price at all. a power surge blown it though???
if it’s the pcb, then the part will be about £70 ish, obviously plus labour.

    sounds like engineer time.
use the facility on this site to get a company familiar with this make.
where are you in the uk?

listen for it in particular when you open the fridge door.

nothing really, except to check that you have power there. this sounds like you need an engineer.
is there a noise from the appliance? does the compressor kick in when you open the fridge door?

Re: liebherr kes 4260 larder fridge

hello, just seen this message, been really busy this week.
the sensor wires will be brown and blue with a white insulation.
assuming you’ve tested the correct wires, then 14.6k ohms would indicate a temperature of just above zero. if it’s freezing everything, then this is a further indication that it’s the sensor at fault.

    Re: liebherr f2 error code

alfie, i tried to reply to the private message you sent me, but was unable to.
f2 is indeed a fridge evaporator fault and the part that ken sent you the link to is the part that you need.

    cheers.
