hi mate, you need part no 9590142.
the fridge freezing everything will be the fault of the evap sensor. you could be really unlucky and it could be the pcb, but in terms of probability, it’s going to be the sensor.

hello bassy, where are you based in the uk? i’m sure someone from this board would be able to repair the fridge for less than that.
the 5 years cover wasn’t a blanket thing if i remember correctly and i’m sure it was only on the maytag and amana brands, not the admiral.
as ken said earlier, if its a maytag manufactured (and with your manufactured date i think it will be)then it’s a good quality appliance and worth keeping hold of.

hello, that part number is the correct one for both air and evaporator sensor.
as ken says, F4 relates to the evaporator sensor.

very easy mate really. i would say that you can’t go wrong. just two pipes, one to the valve and one to the connector.
    go for it.

Re: MIELE KFN8452 SD Fridge freezer – FRIDGE RUNNING TOO COL

hello, you’ve come on to this forum asking for help.
you obviously don’t have a clue as to your problem and it looks like you’re now at the mercy of miele, which attracts a premium.
i could help you, i contract to the company that manufactures miele refrigeration, liebherr.
i was trying to ascertain where you were based because if i couldn’t help you myself, i would probably know someone in your area.
we could repair your fridge a lot cheaper than it will cost you going back to the manufacturer.
you obviously don’t want this help, so good luck to you.

hi john, we’ve fitted a few of these and had to go back to a few that have failed again. we tend to fit a new ring if this happens and this seems to do the trick.

hi larry, if there’s no problem with temp inside the cabinet, then just hold the superfreeze button in until it beeps. then press it again until the superfreeze indicator light goes out.
this will stop the indicator lights flashing.
if there’s a temperature problem inside the cabinet, then it’s more than likely you’ll have to move the defrost sensor to the top of the evaporator and fully defrost.
this is obviously assuming that all the components on the defrost circuit check out ok.

    cheers.

thanks for that. i wouldn’t use the expanding foam, i would think it gets messy. instead, i might use some builders insulation, cut to shape.

check the resistance of the fan. you’ll probably find it’s nearly short.
