Re: fridge/freezer costing £50pm in electricity. Is this fau

1 have you turned off the fridge to see if anything else is drawing power ?

2 if the freezer is running properly it will turn on and off. that means if you take an odd hour it might run a lot or a little. so you hour may have run a lot. unless you take an average you will not know

have you checked what price you are paying per unit?

have you checked the ntc on the heater. if you have a hotpoint heater on from a wm series around swop the wires as a quick test
plug it on and make sure it cant touch anything and see if it heats. if yes change element

    common fault

as units get older and loose gas the compressor will run longer to get it cool. it can get to a point that the unit is running none stop and therefore will consume more power

    Re: bosch FF issue

you should find that the connectors are designed not to go in the wrong place. there are lugs on the plugs that stop them being plugged into the wrong place unless they are forced
i cant get info on Bosch but if you look you may find its ok

Re: whrilpool washing machine type WW DC 7210/1 noisy spinni

the machine will have a pump only programme. if you select this and it makes the noise then its the pump

if its the drum its either 1) bearings or 2) concrete weight loose or 3) shock absorbers problems

    Re: Hotpoint WMA54P

the WMA range was introduced around 2001. I dont think this was one of the early ones so I would guess around 2003 to 2006
In good condition these units are reliable. these are the last units Hotpoint produced that is worth reconditioning after this the electronics and drums cause more problems

if the pump is jammed it will make a slight hum but that is all

you need to find the pump and strip it to check

chances are its a piece of glass or crockery and does not need a new pump

can confirm access details but i would not turn it upside down. its a recipe for the water to end up in the electronics

Re: SMEG UK80MFX1 Cooling Fan Issue

i would guess its getting hot because its powered up and should not be before the oven turns on

1 is the fan running all the time ?

2 try this disconnect the wire that goes to the fan and see if the unit still get hot

long shot you did not mix the colours up did you

    Re: Wine Cooler Repair

if the compressor is running then its either a gas problem ( lack of or none ie leaked out) or the compressor is gone

either way its a specialist job and unless its just gas and then maybe its worth it but the compressor is not

i could not do this job so as a non professional you will not be able to
