as you say its prob a water deflector in casev the seal leaks to deflect small leaks away from the bearings

cant say for certain but as long as your main seals are all present it makes sense

as with all faults of this type

plug in an extension lead from another socket in another part of the house and see if it changes things

you cant test the pump without water in it. if pump is powering but not starting its the pump. these pumps can stert with small omounts of water in but fail when its full

cant find a picture of the unit but

the oven dial selects the oven type or elements used

one of these position or 2 will act as an oven

    poss selections are

    lamp only
    fan oven
grill ( may have 2 posions for full and half grill

if oven is a convection oven there will be a posion to turn just lower element on.

if you get the convection mode both upper and lower elements need to be on

the other knob just controls heat

    website is http://www.elba-cookers.it/en/home

can get acces to tech info but not in work till next week

try emailing you never know they may pick it up if they are in

just checking how you checked the power ( dont know you level of knowledge)

have you got a live and neutral coming in ?

then if you have live and neutral at the board then its likely to be that

Re: Zanusssi Aquacycle 1000 SPIN PROBLEM

dont know voltages but power supply is designed to drop the voltage from 230 to under 50 ( dont know exact voltage). in this unit they use a 1uF (i think ) capacitor as a dropper. As these age the voltage on the board falls and the unit starts to fail

if i am right you have the older type of mechanical timer ( ie you turn a knob to det the programme and you can hear the switches clicking as you do)

when you set a spin programme the machine seem to try to speed up into spin but fails each time

if so its a failure of the power supply that feeds the electronics on the timer
faily easy fix for a professional thats had it before

    thats if i am right

its a 3 phase pump controlled by the electronic module

as i said if its worn and draws more current machine aborts. they are not too expensive i carry one to swop out when necessary

have you tried swopping the drain pump

on the later models the current of the drain pump is used to detect if the unit is empty. when the pumps wear they draw more current fooling the electronics that water is still in the machine and aborts the prog
