if iadom’s post does not fit the problem there ia a small capacitor that goes on the main board causing all the light to flash
it goes because these units a powered 24 hours a day unless you switch off at plug
fair simple fix for a professionalDave

since the heater comes on just after the tab is released that’s where I would start
you will need to measure the resistance of the heater to earth (disconnected) anything under 1,000,000 ohms is suspectDave

not changed one myself but yours is getting to the point of looking for the impossible. from what I can remember on some of the dryers that used toc 40 hotpoint lowered the power of the element because they tripped out that often so its not a new problem. by rights the 105 stat should stop things getting too hot to blow the 130. take it you have had a good look at the element. looking for uneven spaced coils that could cause a hotspot
dave
this is a very long shot and I cannot get the info to check. on some dryers they only reverse for 10 secs or so. during this reverse the heater is turned off as the fan is less efficient in reverse.
don’t know if this applies to this dryerelectrofix

part no C00279578
measures the temp at the door. if it fails the dryer may overheat and the air going back to the element will be too hot
don’t know the temp rating on that oneDave

are the elements actually turning off. ie are the timer contacts sticking ?
if unit works properly then the elements will go off approx. 10 mins from end to cool everything down. is that happening ?
Dave
just to check another thing
if you have the correct stat then the overheat stat should be 130 degrees with the lower one at 105
also have you check the exhaust stat is working ?electrofix

no flow meter only works on fill
things get more complicated from here
on the main board all small components are switched by a device called a triac. they are used in lamp dimmers and the like to switch mains components from low voltage chips. these can go short and can be changed if you can solder
take it you have checked the microswitch does workDave

small delay should not cause a problem such as 1 or 2 secs

ModeratorRe: hotpoint dryer tdc 32
you cant check a cap on ohms
do this with a blown stat in
put a load in it and see if it will start. if it wont then prob the cap. if it wont start after you change cap then its norm the motor

there is a sensor section on the left that gets full of goo and blocks and causes the same problem
go here http://www.neff-eshop.com/eshop/neff/gb … earch1.htm
enter your Enr
on diagram 4 its item 0420
you will prob find the float is stuck up keeping pump on
if so clean it and all will be ok

if you are saying the relay does not get enough voltage sound like a power supply problem
