ModeratorRe: bosch sms63e12gb/01 dishwasher
thought it was one of the later ones but had to check
the way bosch detects if the unit is empty is to monitor the pump current. so the pump draws less current when empty. as the pump wears it starts to bind and gives the timer false signals
first thing i would do is replace the pump part no 00611332 and see if things go ok from there

ModeratorRe: Door not closing, and machine not starting.
this looks to be one of the later ones where the catch is in the lid
you can go to
http://www.siemens-home.co.uk/store/spareparts/search
put your Enr in and get a parts breakdown of the unit
think the part you are interested is item 0332 on page 3
this item may not be broken just need releasing

ModeratorRe: Knocking Noise Of My Miele
machine will have 2 shocks
you can get an idea if they have gone by
unplug machine
remove lid
place you hands on top of the drum
now push down and let go on the drum ( you are trying to bounce the drum like a ball)
if drum bounces easily then shocks have gone if not may be the bearingsDave

ModeratorRe: Bosch HBN7050GB/01 element blowing – common problem!
it seems this type of element is not as reliable as other bosch parts and i dont think they use this one now (unless someone else knows more)
so new bosch items should be ok (and carry 2 years guarentee)this also includes neff and siemans

ModeratorRe: Bosch HBN7050GB/01 element blowing – common problem!
depends on the elements you are fitting
I gave up fitting pattern elements to this unit a long time ago after I watched an element fail while i was having a brew while testing it
also if you have had element fitted then there should be a guarentee but in any case
use gen element part number 494643 and it should last longer
