ModeratorRe: Elba Excellence PX906 Faulty
have not got a lot of info on this but it sounds like a cooling fan problem. A lot of units have a cooling fan to keep the controls cool if this is not running an overheat stat cuts off the power
could be worth a lookDave

ModeratorRe: Beko DWD 4311
you now come back to possibly your original problem if unit does not think it is full of water it will abort programme by pumping out and not start the wash pump

ModeratorRe: Miele G1173Vi all lights flashing
as you say all manual says is check pump and if it fails ring miele
i would look at it in this way
if machine pumps then fills a bit then stops look for a fill problem like the bosch impellor jug ( assume miele will be using a similar system now) if not i assume machine is doing a self check that will include thermistors etc so dig about. try pouring hot water inside first. long shot but it will alter resistance of ntc so if it works for longer you have found it
cant be lot of help as its miele have had my fair share of faults but wow is it a good feeling when you cure them

no it does not have a pressure switch in common with a lot of appliances these days. the water is counted in by pulses from that unit.
if pulse unit is faulty and computer senses a problem it will end progamme to stop floodingDave

ModeratorRe: Bosch Classix1400 WAE28162GB/11 getting noisy
take one brush out and have a look at it. be careful the brushes can go in 2 ways and only 1 is correct

ModeratorRe: Bosch Classix1400 WAE28162GB/11 getting noisy
try spinning it with no washing in it
if it makes a banging noise with no clothes in it is probably a drum problem if not its probably suspension
the whining noise is probably the motor bearings which can be made quieter with a quick sqirt of WD40

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint Ultima WT 741
does sound a bit low
if you look at the top of the machine you will find a switch with a small plastic tub coming off it. this switch detects the water height. it could be this switch or follow tube to bottom of machine and check to see if the bell at the bottom is full of slime
you can adjust these switches but be careful which screw you move and if you do remember how to get it back how you startedDave

waht do you call the rim?
is it just at the bottom of the door rubber ?

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint Ultima WT 741
these machines are supposed to take in less water on the wash. fill it up with no clothes in it and the water will be about 2 inches deep in the drum. the theory is less water less to heat and therefore less energy
you need to be more specific about your fault. not washing properly is not enough. check the heater is working also check filter as if machine does not drain properly it will affect the wash quality
