    Re: DYSON CRO1

yes front comes off quite easily

remove control panel 2 screws disconnect wiring and pressure tube
    remove pump filter
remove 2 screws at top and soapdraw

there are 2 torx screws on the left that are akward to get to cause the outer plasic door get in the way
after that the whole front lifts ( needs a bit of coaxing round the filter
after its off there is a plug to disconnect door switch

as for the fault you need to ask why the customer thinks there is a fault. there is a common fault on these drums where one of the drums jam and throw up fault codes.
the back half of the drum is on its own spider so it can rotate on its own. this spider corrodes and pushes the drum forward and jams it. dysons answer is to stop machine changing gear so they alter the software to stop the fault.

if it is this fault the you start a prog ok but 5 mins in when it changes to contra-rotate the drum will jam

ps dyson have just stopped supporting these machines so spares are limited

cap will be where power comes into board

if they have used one its a large grey or blue block with a value of 1uf to 2uf

there will no visible signs of failure

if your board uses a switch mode power supply like on hotpoint wma range there will be a small transformer and therefore not as easily repaired

sound like a board power supply problem

    see

    trade-technical/simple-pcb-repair-tips-t51155.html

see if your board uses a capacitor for a power supply and if so change it

this has all the makings of a module power supply problem.
bit like a low battery. has enough power to activate the water valve but as soon as it activates the main motor the voltage drops and the computer crashes
