Re: AEG D5701-4-M Fan element permanently on

since this element is controlled by a module my first check would be the control relay on the power board ? short circuit

behind the knob you turn to programme the machine is a small switch. when they go faulty you get all the wrong programmes

its a cheap part and an easy fix

seen water locked dryers on a few occasions

best one was a school where they had used 4″ soil pipe but had a dip in it so it filled up with water

condensing units dont work very well and wont stop all the moisure plus the fact you need to put ice in them to work properly

you could use soil pipe to extend but make sure it has a fall to outside. dont forget in cold weather more condensation will form in the tubes and as stated keep it as short as poss to prevent problems

cant remember what power supply theses older boards use but it sounds like a similar problem. would have to see a good picture of the component side of the board to make any guess

    just as another thought

this dryer element is 2 seperate elements. it is likely that only 1 element has failed you could connect them one at a time if you can get the element hot it might cure it

alternativly take out element and use a blowlamp or gas ring and get element hot ( or put in the oven for a few hours )

    dryer heater part number 124 26 58-31/6

    for price and avail email

    spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

the heater has an earth fault that upsets the electronics the only test you could do is to megger the heater
This sort of fault is not uncommon if you only use the dryer occasionally. it is good practice to run the dryer about once a fortnight for 20 mins or so to keep damp out of the element. if you get damp in the element and turn it on all this damp trys to exit at once causing an earth fault

to remove element you have to split the machine case and the back comes away dont know how bad a job it is from there not done one

Re: AEG WASHER DRYER L12830 Fault code E20

without going into diagnostics you could have 1 of 4 faults

    E21 poor draining
E22 Difficulty in water fill during drying or drying
condenser clogged (anti-boiling pressure switch closed on “FULL”)
E23 Defective triac for drain pump
E24 Malfunction in sensing circuit on triac for drain pump

can send you workshop manual if you let me have an email
