Re: Dyson DC05 burning smell, smoke, low noise, loss of suct

it does sound like your motor has gone you need to find a local repairer who will give you an estimate for repair

you have then to look at the cleaner and all its hoses and brushes etc and work out if it is viable or not. if you change motor you will have a good cleaner provided all the accessories are ok
as for new i like the numatic but its a bagged cleaner. they make a pink one now called a Hetty for around £100.
if you want bagless their is really only dyson or cheap rubbish

Re: Zanussi ZWF1440W in a spin

take it you have checked for any blockages in pressure circuit
the fault is actually a disagreement between the old type pressure switch and the new digital type (ie one say full the other says empty)
if you are just selecting spin it may not occur try selecting a rinse and spin if you are not already

what makes me think here is it blew an rcd the switch cant do this (unless it melts) it could blow a mcb (ie short circuit)

think the ring may have an intermittent short
only thing that can weld contacts it very high current

    hope it helps

    Re: maidaid/sammic c350 problem

it is prob a small leak underneath that dripping slowly and only shows when water builds up
or does it only leak when you start using it ?

to find leak you would have to take the front off and look with a torch ( power off )
as for being plumbed in, it would have to be removed to fix and the pipes are normally flexible

Re: Hotpoint BWD129 – energising drying solenoid all of the

try ringing EMW and ask if the board you have may have a leaky triac ( i have had board pass their test and end up being faulty ) or will they give you a different board if you send yours back

also take it you checked for earth faults. std valves pull about 5 watts which is just over 20 mA to earth. ie wont blow rcd

have you checked the voltage reaching the valve

sounds like a triac fault on the pcb.
since a valve does not need a lot of power a leaking triac will allow just enough power to open valve. normal voltage is 240 but commonly 110v if you get leakage

had a look around all i can suggest is you contact hotpoint. its not listed on their site but if you can get a part number you can search elsewhere

    website hotpoint.co.uk

as for fitting could not be easier the pin the draw hinges on comes out form the top. the hardest part is taking the machine out to remove the lid
