    Re: DC15 no brushbar rotation

most pcb’s like this change ac to dc for the brushroll motor

check wiring upto and from pcb have had a few breaks in wires going down the yoke

you can check for 240v in to the pcb and check the fuse. assume you have checked motor for continuity

beware though if the motor has gone it could take out the pcb so you may need both. what we do is give customers 2 estimates and tell them we cannot guarentee which one it will be till we fit a new motor

Re: AEG OVEN NO CLOCK DISPLAY DS701-4-A

you need to have a close look at the board to try to find the power supply
it can be a transformer , series capacitor or switch mode

if its a transformer you can check primary and secondary windings for continuity, series capacitor are cheap so if its that change it and see. switch mode is more difficult

you could send me a good quality photo of the board and i will look to give you some pointers if you like

Re: AEG OVEN NO CLOCK DISPLAY DS701-4-A

    assume model is D5701-4a

from diag there is a clock module and power board

it could be either or both
the power board has the relays on it to control elements but will also provide a low voltage to power the clock display and electronics to set temp
it is either this power board not supplying power ( look for blown caps etc) or the clock board blown
the top oven seems to be a conventional stat so will not be affected

    hope it helps

Re: hotpoint 30mm inner bearing outer case stuck in tub

buy a new bearing the same size

open bearing and break the cage so you can take it apart

clean around old bearing ring in tub and wd 40 where its going to move

get some grease and put about 6 of the new ball bearings in the old outer ring at the bottom in some grease
take the new bearing middle place it carefully on top of these balls. then with a small screwdriver work the balls till they are evenly around the ring the grease should hold them
turn the tub so the ring is facing downwards ( i use a B&D workmate as it can accomodate the heater and tub lips
when level check balls have not moved then using a steel rod and a lump hammer carefully knock out ring

if all goes well less than 10 mins and its out

    Re: Bosch dishwasher noise

    just to clarify you problem

    this dishwasher has 2 pumps
pump 1 is the drain pump to get rid of used water
pump 2 is the wash pump. this is the jet wash that clean your dishes. it is a much bigger unit than the drain pump

the wash pump is the one i would suspect making the noise. there isw either something stuck in it rubbing on the impellor or the bearing are noisy. fault 1 is easily fixable after removing the motor. fault 2 requires a new motor athough wd40 may prolong its life for a bit

am collecting Enq numbers and write them in comments box on Qualtex website. that way if a cutomers want a part number i wont be giving him a number to google search. also on that point i take or deface all part numbers on the packaging of parts fitted to customers machines google is just too easy

sounds like a main pump motor problem
you would have to strip it and run it with sides off to be certain
    or get proffessional help
