    Re: Hotpoint wma50

you may not be reading a dead short across the armature or field coil is quite a low reading so it may seem dead short but is not

had one the other day the brushes had gone and as they sparked when they fail it had blown pcb check brushes if worn replace and repair pcb and see what happens
beware on this model the wires rub on the concrete weight and can cause similar problems

dont forget to unplug before dimantling

you dont say where in gb you are or why you want to change motor

    what is wrong with yours

the later motors where very reliable electrically but the bearings sometimes siezed and destroyed the shaft but you cauld buy a rotor and repair them any other problems where caused by the pump leaking ( this never happenend on the 4 pole motors as they where running at half the speed )

Re: Hotpoint 1509 2-pole will work in 9605???

you are correct from 1509 dat code 02 the 2 cpole motor was used but from memory 1509 2 pole was relay start think it used same relay as twin tub later 96 series use capacitor start although in theory they do the same job the motor has to be reversed ans you have to find how to incorporate the relay and mount it in a vertical position oterwise they jam

had a look for 1509 manual bu cant find it but did find 96 series and it is a 3 wire motor the 1509 had 6 2 wires where for a thermal cutout because of the high current start winding

    hope it helps

Re: LG Washer WM16225FD LE error code

hall effect sensor is at bottom of the stator behind pulley/rotor
hall effect sensors detect magnets and in this case it is detecting motor movement like the tacho on other types

does the motor move at all? if not may give same error code so may be a stator or pcb fault

this is my interpretation of fault but i may be wrong

Re: dyson cr01 noisey in contro rotor mode???

this is normal its like a whiring noise as motors speed up while in contra rotation mode

its not really a gearbox just 3 planet gears behind the pulley

if you get the breakdowns it shows all the parts for the box s0 in theory yes. not tried myself just estimated for new box and fitted

ring asd (0113 393 6680) they are normally reasonably priced but it may be expensive to buy the parts in sterling

if you have the model number off machine and ask asd they will emails diags

Re: Bosch SGS5312GB/12 Dishwasher won’t pump water out

    look at buttons on front

you should see the word “reset” under them with a line that sops under 2 of the buttons
press those 2 buttons and see if it resets apart from that have no ideas normally with whan faults occur it comes up with a fault code

board should be easily repairable relays are easy to got so are the fuses
the fuse looks noting like you imagine on mine is was a small black rectangular blob soldered into the board the only clue was an amp rating on the side

i dont think there is an earth to this motor so even if it has a short to earth it may not blow
you need to get the insulation checked on field coil and armature

torx screw inside dishwasher just relases small cover over pump

    go here http://shop.bshappliancecare.com/

click bosch spare parts put your e number in click go when you get to breakdowns go to page4

screw you took out should be 167241 and cover 165263

if this is correct with cover off you can see impellor get rid of all the water and dig around to see whats jamming it

DO NOT TURN UPSIDE DOWN !!
you will destroy it with water going everywhere

thats because you have an rcd in the old days without rcd this motor would have carried on going till it started to smoke

rcd’s stop a lot of fires

you want to find the old belling agent who used to operate for belling when they were not part of stoves

our local agent was Martin & Hicks 0151 639 4849 got an obsolete stat from him last month its worth a ring but you have to keep trying he is not there as much as he was
if his answer is no see if he has an old list of agent you could try

    hope you get lucky
