I seem to recall some info on dryers that said
lower power element was switched on first and if wet clothes were detected it switched on the second element
i would try it on a timed programme or make sure enough damp clothes where inside also check if cust been using bounce (or similar) as this coates the sensors an play havochope this helps

should be interesting to get some clarification on this. I have always followed the rule that if i dont disconnect a gas pipe then thats ok. the only exception being the gas hose if fitted with a bayonet which is designed to be disconnected by the housholder

yes you are correct
1 flash fault code look like a constant flashing light
but check closely from memeory you can have anything up tp 15 flashes so watch it closely for at least 20
i keep a spare ntc as a test had a few where it did not cure fault so had to assume board faulty
