    Re: maytag fridge fault

a lot of machines these days do a check of componebts before start up so it is possible

    can you either
A place the defost heater so it is not earthed
B disconnect earth of the whole appliance

this is for check purposes only i am in no way telling you leave the earth off the machine so it will work

i do the same on indesit washers when the earth fault in the motor causes problems

    hope this helps

    Re: Zanussi WJD1667W drier issues.

looking at the tech info on the drying cycle it reads

1 calibration time out 10 min pump on
2 tap test water level 10mm time out 10 min pump off
3 cool down time out 20 min
4 dry time ou 20 min

i assume you stop working between 1 and 2

have you tried pouring a small amount of water in soap draw it looks to me as if it is waiting for a water level although explanation in the tech manual is not good. check for blockages in pressure circuit that may stop dryer but may not stop wash with more water taken in

bit of guess work on my part but worth a try

    hope it helps

    turn prog to reset

turn off machine if already on

press and hold start and pause button with 1 hand

    turn on machine

hold buttons till machine buzzes or light flash

you are now in diagnostic mode

turn prog knob 6 clicks clockwise should now show fault code

pm me your email will send you the manual
but let me know the prod code there are 2 variations of this unit

    Re: ge monogram

as an educated guess i would say a power supply fault on the pcb

just like a low battery if you pull too much power it cuts out

a lot of units use a capacitor for this and the go down with age

i dont repair fridges but if you want email me a good picture of the pcb and i will try to hazzard a guess of what to change

    hope this helps
