Moderatorstarting to think that plug has got wet and gone with a bang
i would put a 3 amp fuse in the plug and see if it powers up
assume the fuse on the board is ok and there is no other visible damage on the board

Moderatoralways a difficult question and nothing is as good as it was due to customer preference to cheaper cheaper cheaper and not quality
Miele is still top but they are not as robust as they were
look at the Bosch WAN range as i quite like them

Moderatorsamsung are well known for board failures and this does sound like one of them
I have an adwash model the other day that would not spin. went out removed a 50p from the hose tested ok and left. got a call from customer, still no spin
went back and ran a rinse and spin ok. then to be certain i ran it again. spin started ok bit before it started to go faster tomed jumped down to 1 min and then ended programme. never got it to spin after that. can only be the board doing silly things

Moderatorit is a difficult fault but both these faults have no solid link apart from the board and thats quite a chance to take. i would pull the board and check for domed caps as ac on a dc line can cause all sorts of problems
can send you the service info if you think it would be usefulDave

Moderatormakes sense there has been some current flow or the plug has got wet, the edge of the pcb is charred
