Moderatorthe impellor jug is most likely, changed a few
the way it works is there is a magnet on the impellor and as it passes a reed switch it causes the contacts to close
you can use a multi meter on the buzz continuity setting and as it turns you will here the pulses
to repair you can either replace the whole unit or but a reed switch and solder it in

cushion floor an be a problem but wahing liquid or using screw drivers as rollers can help
I would check the board and look for blown caps

Moderatorthe new ones are a lot more efficient and with your compressor working overtime , and probably all the time its costing you money
