electrofix
Moderatorlittle or no tech
they list a service manual but when i looked its for a gas hobthere are 2 power board but they are both the same so its unlikely for both of them to fail. each power board supplies 2 rings.
there is then a control board that controls the 2 power boards
when you say everthing works does that mean you can control all the rings but not heat comes out ?
bit like a demo mode

Moderatorget hoses with those doing this occasionally.
get some of the old Evo Stik impact ahesive. must be the old one with the strobg vapour smell. dry hose off internally and the spigot on the draw. smear a small amount of glue on the spigot and then slide the hose on, put the clip on and let it set
that will most likley sort it
dont use any other glue and never superglue . Its a rubber adhesive so you can take it apart again if ever needed

Moderatortry one big long shot
find board and firmly tap each relay
then try it
if it works it was a stuck relay and it may happen again or it may not

Moderatorbefore you call it a day if you want
check all connection
check you have mains voltage on the board
make sure all your solder joints are ok and you have not damaged tracks
if it was me i would check for voltage both on the high voltage caps whicH should be 300v DC ( be careful( and the low voltage caps ( probably 12VDC ) but only if you are competant and safe

Moderatorwell its not unheard of as the heater on these unit are very weak
if the water flow through the unit is too slow due to blocked bars or filters then these units can blow
there are other reasons but its a pity the older models almost never blew heaters
