what do you mean?some fridges cool the rear wall and some frost free units take cold air out of the freezer to cool the fridge and control the flow with a motorised flap

Moderatorlooks about right
there are only 2 of them from memory and its not diameter its depth one of them is not as deep as the drum rear is at different anglemay have a few around if you get stuck
have a good look at the spokes on yours either as the spoke joins the hub or as it joins the rim
Also have a very careful look at the bearing tube in the plastic drum. had a few of these come loose in the plastic and thats a total scrap job.

Moderatorcheck the spokes of the pulley
if a spoke breaks you will get a click noiseDave
electrofix
Moderatorwell that does sound normal
its only if it does not clear each cycle then there would be a problemDave

thats correct
all depends on your description of excessive ice and frostdoes it dissappear and come back again or does it jusr get bigger ?
Dave

Moderatorinteresting contradiction here
Miele say its normal and yet they have gone to the expense of changeing some very expensive parts
Also did you realise miele dont manufacture these units as they are made for them by Liebherr
