Moderatordont know model but if you find the owners manual I think you will find
if the tap icon is steady its a water problem
if it flashes it can be anything elseDave

Moderatorthere are a number5 of these unit all made by a manufacturer in Turkey called Vestel.
the part you possibly need is
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/42008813-dishwasher-metering-tank
but it would need to be checkedat the bottom of this unit is a turbine which coupled with a reed switch counts the water in. these switches can fail and you can sometimes remove the little board and replace just the switch
cant promise this will cure it as it could be
the switch
wiring ( had mice eat cables before now)
or the main boardDave

Moderatorits not a blockage and the water in the salt unit is normal.
could be a water sensor issue and the machine is aborting the programmeI would expect the machine to possibly fill then realise it cant sense water, then abort the programme by pumping out first. What this means is when you open the door it does not seem to have filled. either put the outlet hose in a bucket or open door as it aborts to see how much water you have

Moderatorcant think of much
the fact the new boards give the same fault tends to make me think they are not faulty
to check part no i get (without serial no ) are
display 1739440020 or 1739440120
main board 1510154470i would check harness for damage and plugs for contamination. With the leads disconnected both ends check for reading of leakage between wires
after that if you want long shots disconnect everything you can ( motor heater etc) and see if display improves

Moderatorit is a bit of a minefield
the metal floor ones are more up the range but all carry 2 years guarentee
the main unreliability lies in the motor assembly. its important to make sure all filters are clean as are the holes in the wash bars.
if there is poor water flow through the motor it could lead to its failure so rinsing off the plates to remove debris is a good move

Moderatorbosch machine lock out when the brushes go to protect the motor but it does not lock everytime
to reset you have to follow a number of moves on the control panel to release the lock. There are about 3 or 4 different routines depending on the machine
check the brushes first and see if they have gone

Moderatorboard part no is correct
you need to make sure live and neutral is getting to the board and open and look for damage

Moderatorif bearings have gone it sounds like the pump seal has been leaking, seen it a few times
if you do buy another bosch choose one with an all metal tub, the cheaper ones use a plastic floor and they can cause problems
if you want cheaper look at Beko, spares if needed are no problem plus it has a 2 year guarentee

Moderatorwell if its is the motor the first thing to check is the carbon brushes
then the machine may need resetting

ModeratorMark Johnson wrote:Hi Dave,
The wash pump is, as you suggested might be the case, now obsolete and there is no suitable alternative.
Can you recommend a manufacturer and model that would be a suitable replacement for the built-in slimline model that I have?
I see John Lewis do a Neff S875HKX20G (£568) and a Bosch Serie 2 SPV2HKX39G (£449). Are they more or less the same? If possible I’d like to spend less, but I don’t want something that is useless. Though, I do not require something that is all singing and dancing.
Would Siemens be the way to go?
Thank you for all your help and advice so far.
Cheers,Mark
had a few of them where the wash pump had not gone but had a failed capacitor stopping it starting
very cheap fix if that’s all it is
you need to check if the pump is free and if yes is it being energized first
