Moderatorwell sometimes there is a leak into the base but sometimes they have a bad day and leak but wont do it again for weeks
all you can do is try
as a proffessional i remove the water and with covers off watch with a torch through part of a cycle to look for drips

Moderatorassume is humming as soon as you turn on
sounds like the base is flooded
unplug and pull machine out. tilt it backwards very slowly to about 45 degrees.you should see water leaking on the floor. we do it slowly so we dont slosh the water onto critical components
after its leaks out put it back down and try it

Moderatorcan be done in situe
beefy wires on the side
multimeter on low ohm should read well under 100 ohms if its higher its gone

Moderatoralways a hard one when it wont leak
to check heat pump remove the outer door and lower kick striip
you should then be able to get at the heater connection and check the heater with a meter
Dave

Moderatorok in that case its over filling
that must mean the check water light is coming on
look up part no 424099
this item counts the water in
it could be this item ( and a lot of the time it is )
the wiring to it ( rodents etc or broken wires going to the timer )
a cheap way of fixing this item as bosch want £18 for it is to remove it and take out the small circuit board on it. you will see a glass reed switch which you can get for a few quid. solder a new one in and replace

then the pipe is blocked into the sump
float should not move unless it overfills

Moderatormines older than that still ok
cant be drum as they are almost bullet proof
most likely a hardened hose or a hole in the door rubber
in most miele machines you can leave the kick strip off and just about see into the base while its running with a torch. so you can see when and where it drips
Dave

Moderatortake lid off and check top hoses
you can also check the hose between soap draw and drum, they harden and split
plus the door rubber
