the more complex these get the more interacting problems you get

Neff can afford to change parts on a whim we cant

if a clean does not sort it you either tell the customer they pay for the parts even if it does not cure it or walk away and let neff deal with it

even though the control panel is more likely the fault it could also be corrupted power supply from the power Board and as K says a host of other things

    walk away

someones got the hump for some reason. probably someone retired with nothing else to think about but it has to be close to you as someone 5 or 6 houses away would not be bothered

dont think there is much they can do unless they can prove exessive noise of some kind. even then you might be a lawn fanatic and mow it every 2 days amd that would be noisy. There is lots of people working from home these days and if they stop you they would have to stop them.
the only fly in the ointment is the deeds of your house may say you can’t run a business from the house

you have to see what they come back with

    Dave

do get a similar thing on hoover units with a faulty programme selector but it does not fail to start once i get it to stay on

have emailed you the fault codes and test info

see if it will go into service mode

is it just 1st programme clockwise or if you select any programme quickly will it come on till you move the knob ?

am sure somewhere on here someone else had a bosch or neff doing the same thing but cant remember outcome

as normal check for odd earth fault , we all know the sort of problems they can cause

after that is has to be board related . have you checked the power board for bulging caps ?

you can see the panel (3) and the small springs (5) that lock it into position

springs are at the bottom to push panel up and lock into place

most miele plastic panels move down about 1mm and pop out the top

its a bit fiddely but with small screw drivers and care they pop out

“surely it should stop when door open”

only if the timer tells it to stop

if it goes off instantly with the plug then it cant be the valve

could be a leaky control triac on the board
