Moderatoryou have to remember they use motor current as a sensor. as the motor ages and bearing get loose the rotor will start to contact the stator walls. this causes friction and increases current which throws off the board
there is no water level sensor in this machine so they use the motor to make sure there is enough water flow to turn on the heater. if bars are blocked, water diverter is stuck or the motor current is not correct it wont heat
makes life a lot more difficult

I don’t think it’s the motor because I can hear it running and the water is getting distributed by the arms.
just had a job like that motor runs and no heat
change motor and it heats again
heater was not open circuit so its was not the heater that was at fault
problem is the use the motor as a sensor to detect water flow

the board is simple to remove and you could post it off

was hoping it was a capaciitor fault but they look ok
it also may not be this board

on delicate fabrics only one element is energised but on cottons both are active

Moderatordrip tray is glued to the top of the motor so the heat will evaporate the condensate

Moderatorfrom what i can see you have to have a plug in diagnostic tool making anyone’s job who does not have one harder
lost access to Hotpoint tech after whirlpool takeover so cant get info as easily
