No supply from module to wash pump and although the pump was in circuit the windings were very dark and the casing yellowed!

Sounds like the inner drum failing. Unplug from the electric. Take a close look through the holes with a torch and look for scoring on the inside of the plastic tub.

Technik dishwasher heater
Unfortunately the whole machine was built around the heater. No easy fix I’m afraid. Are you sure the heater is at fault? More often that not the fault lies with the control PCB when the machine refuses to heat.
