Re: SMEG SUK92MFX5 heating element stopped working Dual Fuel

Lots of timers now coming with three volume levels. Some manufacturers are not including this in the instruction books. Do not know if this works on this model but it is normally adjusted by pressing the – button. Play around with it to find out how yours adjusts as it will happen again when the clock area is cleaned. 😀

    Hello Sparkp,

If the light is flashing is it giving the error code E40 which is a problem with the door lock. Have you tried going into the fault system to see if it is showing a fault in that? 😕

Badly blocked condensor will bring up an E20 error code in the first few minutes of the dry cycle.

While the dial is clicking around the light will be flashing. It will flash so many times then pause then flash so many times again. You need to count the number of flashes and then post again and someone will help.
It seems like the end of the world when the washing machine breaks but there is no need to SHOUT. 😆

Sounds like a problem sensor or defrost cycle. I would advise a call from an engineer as it could be either fridge or freezer side which is giving the problem. 🙁

Fast and Delicate is normally a heat problem. Probably has a faulty tube heater. 🙁

    Time to call an engineer.

Also check the dryer condenser duct. 😕 I don’ know why but if the duct is blocked it will come up with a drain error code.

    Re: AEG washer dryer.

If it’s only happening on the dry then it could be the pump cutting out on it’s thermal cut-out as it runs for long periods of time. Check there are no blockages and they have not extended the drain hose. If you go into the fault system when you get there it should give you a more definite fault code like E21, E22, E23.

Defrost it completely then move the defrost sensor about an inch further back. The element only runs along the front of the evaporator so they sometimes do not defrost right at the back where the fans are. Also hook a metal strip over the element and drop down towards the drain hole to stop it freezing up. 🙂

    Re: Indesit WD12 UK F5 & F10 ???

On the original boards the 8 pin eprom was a push fit into a suface mounted socket at the righthand side of the module looking at the component side of the board. It could be easily moved over to a new board. The next step was to solder the eprom directly to the board. If you ordered a replacement board it would come with a surface mounted socket so you could unsolder the eprom, clean and straighten the legs and fit to the socket. Latest twist is the eprom is tiny, mounted towards the top of the board and is almost impossible to unsolder. The replacement board will still come with a socket so you are better off ordering a new eprom at the same time. 😕

Re: Indesit W161 UK Bearing change

Normally use an old T40 torx bit in bolt head and give a really good whack with a 2lb hammer. This will free off the loctite and the bolt comes out fairly easily. The bolts in the housing legs don’t seem to be locked in as tight and normally come out with only minor lacerations to the hands and arms. 🙁

Re: Indesit WI101 simultaneously pumps and fills after 5 min

Just a guess here but if the machine sees a reading on the NTC which is out of its normal range it does not know if the machine is full of boiling hot water. So it runs the pump and cold valve to flush the hot water out.
They all do this so it looks like it was designed to do it that way. ❓

Try Halfords Professional Torx bits. 1/2 inch drive and lifetime guarentee. If you break it then just take back to any Halfords and they will replace it. 😀
