Check Comet website, they are looking for engineers in Scotland, North East England, Exeter and Bristol.

    Newer version of the RS21.
Probably the fridge evaporator has not been defrosting properly and there will be a big ice ball at top left of the evaporator.
Clear the ice and move the defrost sensor from the right hand side and clip to the pipe going up to the top left. Sensors are too close to the defrost heater and finishing the defrost cycle too early. 😉

If the plastic lugs are all broken off then definitely something between the drums. Normally a bra wire is enough to do it. (and they come in two’s you know! 😆 )

Check the door switch and if it is prior to serial number 603 then the small striker pin that operates the switch. If the door switch is intermittent then the machine stops and empty water light comes on as a reminder to the customer. 🙂

Model number is on the front frame inside the door. Get the PNC 9 digit number if you can. Sounds like the oven has a child safety lock on. It is normally switched on by pushing a combination of buttons. 🙂

Just one of those machines that did not like to be overloaded. Mine is still running from 1982! Had two sets of bearings, one door lock solenoid and one element. 😀 Sadly the next time it goes out the door as the boss thinks she deserves a new one. :rolls:

Sensors will show as a fault if they are basically open circuit or short circuit, not if they are just slightly out. Is there some reason the freezer is set to -25? This will generally produce more frost. If elements are both testing ok then I would probably change sensors, definitely the defrost one.

Seen a couple of these where the defrost element blows and puts a hole in the evaporator. As soon as the compressor kicks back in it would fill the compartment with gas in seconds. :rolls:

E34, I think, which is the two pressure switches are giving different readings. Worth cleaning the air chamber out.

If its about 20 years old and originally made by Servis in Birmingham 😯 then its a motor fault and probably needs carbons.
