Re: those nasty w/p pumps which leak from the rubber and…

but then the customer wouldnt be totally right. 100 seats left and tories need 58 of them to get a majority according to the beeeeeb

and yes 2 of our fixes were on people selling the house in at the most the next 12 months. so the servis hose fix were ideal repairs for them who didnt want a £170 repair to last for 2 years 🙂 i kinda felt sorry for htem too as they both seemed to have been beaten down heavily on the sale price of the home too

have had a disconnected heater element connection cause failures to stop filling, however this is on the latter models. might be worth a check as there is only 5 screws to take out off the back panel 😛

just a hypothetical thought, if lightly used then surely they dont heat up often enough to dry the dampness off them, would this potentially cause corrosion at the endtry point of the element just behind the terminal weld point. if that makes sense. not an electrician so wondering if the corrosion would reduce the level of current it can handle and therefore causing surious error codes… ??? just a wonder.

thing is some customers baulk when you tell them itll be £120 for a new circ motor + labour then they decline the repair and often wont wanna pay you anyhting cos they wanna get a new machine.

this just allows you to cover your base and offer an alternative that if they decline the new pump you dont lose out yourself.

not ideal i know, but hey

£400 is a pretty good price for the siemens tbh, where have you seen it for that price because it must be just a “take it away” price, cant see theres any margin in it for anyone if it includes delivery etc…

with don on it, for a slim line d/w defo go for a 5yr p&l warrantied siemens,

for w/m i prefer siemens with a 5yr p&l guarantee but all down to budget really. but thought u were after a washer dryer tho??

Re: zanussi zwd1681 / ewm3000 board service manual

    what causes it tho ?

this machine has rarely ever had the dryer used, as they already had a separate dryer. just so happens the stats on the dryer blew so they used the w/d as their back up dryer and this happens. w/d had a heavily blocked sump, which was cleared before the e36 appeared. its disgusting if that is what has caused the pcb fault tho. is it worth changing the anti-boil p/s first before resorting to board reprogging, and im hoping emw will be able to sort it out because a new board pretty much writes this off…???

If the machine fills, circulates and drains ok. And you have checked the heater then I would go for the board. Make sure you order the board using the serial number as there are normally two types.

might be wrong but i read it as the 2nd led / wash led comes on but other than that the d/w is dead
