    boards probably faulty mate

it cant monitor the tacho, cos the triacs faulty, or the wires in the motor plug to the tacho have broken
experience would suggest a pcb fault, if the wirings good

    c. Electrical module fault
The digital display shows “F4” to “F21”. Press
the “Pause/Cancel” button twice and select
“Drain/Spin” if there is excessive water in the
appliance. Press the desired programme and
    press the “Start” button.
If the fault re-occurs, contact After Sales
    Service (See “After Sales Service”).

    ooh good shout hotpnt

i cant beleive ive just read that

its funny.. the f1 error would still be there if the fault (other than what the poster said) is still there

what i mean to say is that the f1 fault was there before the ntc was disconnected, so of course the f1 fault would appear

its a board fault, as pointed out straight away

    yes and no

for removal, a good size hammer and a good bar will get them out

for refitting, some people use a small drift and a hammer to tap them in, others use threaded bar, with thick washers to draw them in, everyones different

youll find the hardest part is gettin the drum out to split it to get at them if im honest
