If you only want to check the sump hose lean the machine back 45 degrees and get someone to hold it.
This should give you access from underneath the machine. To remove the front of the machine is just making more work for you as you will have to remove the doorseal and possibly even the door inter lock.
Remember to unplug machine before doing anything.
SteveHi Steve, sadly Bosch put a plate on the underside of the chasis of the machine to stop you accessing it this way.
Regards
Ian
take the plate off then! its less hassle, trust mehelo_75
Participantpeoplel remove them in many different ways
if you cant get a decent sized chisel behind it, you can drill a hole in the cast casing behind the bearing shell, to allow the chisel head to get a good lock on it
some grind it out
but, if theyre that bad… is your dum shaft ok?
there is only one answer, and that is brute force and determination, it will come out, you just got to be determined
please work carefully too, protect your eyes, and wear good quality gloves to avoid personal injury

Participantid be a little more thoughtful on this
if its new, its unlikeley to any sort of bearing problem
given the fact the paddles are loose and theres a noise from the bottom of the drum, id have to say its possible theres something stuck in there.
