Participantid be taking the top of (with plug out ) and checking the pipe hasnt come off the pressure switch, firstly…. its at the rear of the soap box
other than that, it could be a blocked sump, or even a board problem!!!
does it empty ok?
helo_75
Participantnope thats not it
first of all, he probably broke the heater when he took the cover off
the fan going is common, and it would be best to replace it
we need to know mostly whether the element has 2 stats, or 3
that will determine what heater is on it… oh, and a serial number would be useful too

Participantbuying a hotpoint washer ensures that water in the drum will be the least of your problems, put us in your favourites folder, youll probably be needing us
lol, enjoy

Participantits a merloni board, are you surprised?
the wf860 go down all the time, just click the question marks on your partfinder to see how many variants in software, pcb, eproms and motor stacks there are
had loads, no it aint recent

Participantyep, one of the fans is faulty
if it continues after the machine is stopped, its usually the rear one (behind the rear access pannel(plug out ouf course!))
other than that its the cooling impellor, which isnt quite as easy , and is internalhelo_75
Participantjockey pulleys are the common problem with them, nice easy job on one of them, but as gegsy says, its under warranty, so let them do it
helo_75
Participantlight 1, 2 & 4 indicate a dryer problem
could be ntc failure… element failure, fan
plug out if your gonna investigate

Participantid be tempted to put a capacitor on it while i was in there……………

Participantcomet have them, but im sure if you ask one of the guys on here, there MAY be a suitable alternative available form the ukwhitegoods store, after all, it is only a wetwall fridge, and a danfoss kit 3 should cover it, i think its the length of the capilliary which is the issue, and obviously you cant cut it down
whouldnt hope for one before xmas though
have a great xmas, apart from warm beer

Participanti think youll find the frost will have been there before the fault occured, you probably just didnt notice, as the appliance works on the principal of evaporation/condensation, you will get condensation on the back wall (which is where it freezes) defrosting itself, and draining away through the drain channel at the bottom (which is why you will sometimes see water, instead of frost on the back wall)
dont worry, its fine.. have a great xmas

Participanthmm, u could be right
is it indoors?
ive seen a lot of those fridge freezers, and the stats not usually the problem, but yours could well be the stat
sorry, your second post was a bit more precise, so yes, the stat could well be faulty, but i think you might need a genuine stat
helo_75
Participantif its working at all, the thermostats not faulty, and the only thing left on that is the compressor.. give it a few weeks, and itll stop working altogether
get shut and buy a different one
