Participantyour gonna have to take the rear cabinet off to get to it
and the pump itself is a different base to the normal pump, has a different sized impellor, although u have put an ordinary pump base on and its worked fine
oh… and when its supposed to work? the machine will fill , then tumble 5 or six times, on the level fill, the second one, the pump SHOULD be running then
good luck

Participantyep, and its designed to ‘shower’ the clothes with water… most people dont notice it doesnt work, but ive had occassion to find a fault code in diagnostics.. e85 i believe where the pump goes o/c and doesnt allow the machine to start
if you look inside the door, and upwards, you’ll see a spout.. and thats where the waters supposed to come out, and be wary, it doesnt spray the water all the time

Participantid try defrosting it while the pcb is on its way… ull need to do it anyway
helo_75
Participanti have a pdf of a service manual, and a comprehensive wiring diagram
email me, helo_75@hotmail.co.uk
and ill send it to you

Participantthere will be vents inside the fridge, theyre well hidden, quite often theyre behind the salad bins
if thats the case, a good 48hr defrost will help
helo_75
Participantoh yes, without a doubt
helo_75
Participantcould really use a model number?
its normally the other way round, ie fridge workin, freezer not
do you know whether its air blown or wetwall?
if its airblown, a simple 48hrs defrost would probably cure the problem, if its wet wall, then it could well be a pcb/syatem problemfor more conclusive help, model number plz

Participantthey arent actually that bad if you jut change the pump base
a bit of manual dexterity and patience is in order… with the plug out, of course
if you tilt the machine back and look upwards, behind the filter, youl see what i mean.. theres 3 screws on the pump base

Participantthey have a nasty habit of doin that, it does sometimes take time for the for the oil to mix and reduce the flow of gas
sorry to have to do that to ya, but you may have thrown money away on a repair that MIGHT have worked
helo_75
Participantoooh, tricky one
the clicking could be the compressor overworking, and its very possible the machine is now blocked and the compressors failing under an exceptionally heavy load
sometimes, if your lucky, blockages can be cleared, but your going to at least need a new dryer and a regas
experience would suggest replacement is the best option

Participantbet ya life its a ctdoop/is70c!!!
it’ll want a capacitor and the cut out resetting
helo_75
Participantcheck the wires to the thermistor, thats common, other than that, it could be a pcb fault
helo_75
Participantdepending how old it is, it could still have the wheels on the front
the kit (which contains all the front pads/seals aand a new belt) was originally part number 1703273
im sure one of the guys will give you the updated number, and id change the impellor while i was at it
the idea is to take the wheels off and replace them with front supports
other then the wheels and the fan, they arent always that noisy… unless of course the drums catching on the back panel, then it will need a new style drum with a different profile, but then your into serious money
can check that while the drums out, you can visibly see where the drums been catching.. originally, hotpoint put a sticky pad over it to try and quieten it down , but the real cure is to fit a new drum
phew!!! hope this helps!
