u can get away with puttin the new one on with one screw, and that has to go on through the hole where the sump hose fits!
not the easiest job in the world, call someone in if your not sure
hope this helps

Participantthing is, brushes do make noises when theyre new
they will, eventually shape themselves to the shape of the armature, and the sound should lessen

Participantcant help yourself can you?
regardless of who broke the glass, hotpoint/cannon/creda/indesit/ariston/merloni have a legal obligation to supply spare parts for their appliances for a reasonable period of time,
things get broken..the customer never said they wanted it done free, now did they? they were only concerned that the part wasnt available after a short period of timeyes the sales of goods act reasons that the customer deals with the retailer, and if thats comet, didnt they buy it from somewhere? so its the same thing ultimately, the liability lies with the manufacturer
fairs fair, and thats why i posted what i didhelo_75

Participantyep, its usually because the hole from the pump through the base to the condenser is blocked, stick a cable tie through it to unblock it
or, its been moved recently
quite often, if you dry the element off, itll work fine

Participanthow old is it? if its under 5 yr old, play them at their own game, and call them out under the 5 yr parts warranty, if they cant supply their own parts, then theyre gonna have to replace it for you arent they
just dont tell em its because u slipped, tell em it just exploded

Participantto be fair, other than that merloni rubbish, ovens are much of a muchness… smeg do tend to be better quality, although i do tend to push people towards neff/bosch… extremely reliable, good build quality and readily available parts should they break down!
so choice is yours, remember, its all about keeping your appliance working, and workin well… theres not many cookers beat smeg
