Re: New American F/F advice please

if it does it again, itll need a thermal fuse

    no seems to understand this

the machine doesnt defrost, because the fuse isnt working, thats why it builds up with ice… im not gonna post this advice again, cos its been well documented in other sections

yup, just like theres a thermal link from the terminal block to the oven stat

its a blue wire, u can identify it cos its got a red sheath and is clipped to the cavity

Re: indesit frost free fridge/freezer c239nf problem!

    itll be that horrible valve

erm, well it doesnt actually have 2 stats, just one pcb and thermistors

if its running, its not that
thereds a valve on the system which restricts the gas to the fridge when its cold enuff, allowing the freezer to stay at temp

    specialist job im afraid

Re: CREDA tc622cw Water sensor light constantly on

the valve behind the water tank has probably broken, or the float switch is jammed

just hope its the first one.. easy to check .. with the power off.. look on the back of the water tank, you will see a valve.. on the machine side is a very similar valve.. one of them may be broke.. if not, get someone in to change the float switch

Re: Candy CNW156 – Dryer problem, tried everything still no

erm, first things first.. candy dont own hotpoint, they own hoover

on your heater box, do the toc’s have a little platic ‘knob’ on the top.. if they do, try pressing them.. quite often on candy/hoover machines theyre resettable

    hope this helps

Re: Creda – Indesit Tumble dryers?

15 mins, when u get the hang of it

1st try putting your foot on the belt and manually stretching it a little, its just tight, not nice….

the creda dryer might be the one with pulleys

hotpoint only supply the 1860 length belt for them, no other will do
although some part numbers are a bit stretchier.. namely the 1701658

yes theres lots of sharp edges, theres a wole post about them, if you look a little deeper
this one touches on the subject – http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … pic&t=4998

    hope this helps

    Re: Hotpoint wont turn on

    hhmm

if youve pressed the button a bit too hard, the pcb becomes ‘dislodged’ and wont operate, sometimes refitting it works

other than that, the pcb and eprom need replacing, just make sure u unplug it and leave it a good 15mins before u investigate

    hope this helps
