my rule regarding fuses is to keep replacing them until the appliance, whatever it is, gives forth a clue as to what is ailing it.
in the meantime, anyone care to share previous experiences of this nature?

My rule regarding music is to turn on the radio/CD player and listen to the experts.

Its a pity that you rule on fuses isn’t the same. One sure fire way to turn small electrical/electronic problems into major disasters, total right offs or even fires is to do as you have done. It may be too late for this machine but I strongly advise you to revise your methods before you do some serious damage. 😯

Thanks Baron, just arrived. Unfortunately the motor was fine on this machine, customer has decided to invest in something a little better.

The info you sent is very welcome though. I’m sure I will be able to make use of it in the future.

    Thanks again.

You wouldn’t say that if you could see the contents of our bottle recycling bin. Wines from all over the world, I’m one of Laithwaites best customers. 8)

That reminds me of a service call I did more than 30 years ago, working for Hotpoint. Old lady complaining of poor drying. She said, ” I put it on for 15 minutes, then another 15 and another, it still wasn’t dry” :rolls: 😆

I didn’t think for one minute that it was anything else, 🙂

Checking on Masterparts web site shows minimal discount, ( for me at least) 😥

I doubt very much if anyone would hold that item other than the major suppliers.

Yep, small O ring approx size of a £2 coin.
You might have left it in the patient, 😉

Re: Creda Model 48345 Concept Halogen

It is almost certainly the regulator. It is not the easiest appliance on which to access the controls, both side panels, complete hob and several other bits & bobs need removing to get at the controls. A tricky job, even for the pro’s.

Part not over expensive so I would suggest getting a local independant engineer out to have a look. Try our repairs@ service to see if we have someone who can help.

Please make sure the mains power is off if you intend to proceed yourself.

    Any suggestions gratefully received please.

If this machine was purchased from new then phone the Indesit Company and insist they sort it out or contact the dealer who supplied it and try and get it replaced, preferably with something without any Indesit connections. 😥

There is an O ring on this Indesit 😥 dishwasher drain pump. ‘Other’ earlier Hotpoints are far better constructed.

Part number if you need it is, C00054917, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one.
