Deep joy! and I’m pleased your persistence paid off, it certainly proved me wrong about AC180 Pressure Switches that’s for sure 😳
The one I had threw me as well, in fact I think I posted here about the fault at the time, initially suspecting the valves, or the timer. Thankfully I only tried the valves before deciding to try the pressure switch. 🙂

Re: Hotpoint WD64S fast blow fuse

Apparently the fuse plus holder is available from Hotpoint but not the fuse, cannot find a part number for that either. I will PM or e-mail you my address, if you could send me one that would be most kind of you.

    Re: Bra wire strikes again.

Whilst the labels on most underwired bra’s do say ‘Handwash’ for a very good reason, when doing the washing I put the wife and daughters underwired bra’s in an old pillowcase and secure it with two safety pins. Using a washbag is not enough to prevent the second most common drum obsruction after coins.

Is KMC16 the model of the fridge? cannot see that on Partfinder. Is it an import?

Have you removed the sump and checked for obstructions, if sump is perfectly clear then it does point towards a module fault.

You could try the last error detected routine shown here.

Here is a link to GRC.com, you can test your systems vulnerabilty to this latest exploit by running the small test program.

Have tested it and I have no mouseholes. 🙂

Re: Creda 37764 Fan coming loose

If the replacement motor kit was a 1702586, then the splined fan is available as a separate item, part number 1702278. The original fan you replaced was a ‘D’ type fitting, never seen one of those come loose.

    Re: Missing e-mail notifications.

Well I got a notification of your reply to this post, but I have not received any from the UK Whitegoods meeting thread, yesterday or today, even though there are new posts in it. Also the WMA bearings thread in trade Technical had a couple of posts that did not generate an e-mail, I posted another question in that thread then did receive notification.

Could be Ntl mail servers although Ntl e-mail has been quite good for several months now.

I’ve never done recon’s but the inner drum, drum front and in a lot of cases the drum support are re usable.

If the door will not open after you have unplugged the machine for a couple of minutes then your door interlock is more than likely faulty. If you really are a novice then I suggest you click the link in my sig to see if we have someone in your area that can help. Don’t try to force it from the front, you will only break more parts. Should not be a major expense if it is only the door interlock.

Re: Hotpoint BFI620 Help!! Don’t like washing dishes by hand

You should be able to access a plug or fused socket if your kitchen was installed by a competant firm, however, years of experience as all of my colleagues will testify reveals that you have a 1 in 10 chance of that. 😥 Have you looked in all the cupboards either side of the machine? Is it completely dead? If you don’t have the electrical test equipment or skills then it is engineer time I’m afraid. Click on the link in my sig to see if we have someone in your area. At this point I would advise you to remove the plug before proceeding further but you will have to find it first. 😉

PS, If you can see that the outlet pipe is not kinked, can you not see the mains plug?

Re: Creda 37764 Fan coming loose

Only seen this once on a Hotpoint machine. Customer is a friend of mine who owns a compressor supply repair business to industry. He took it into his large unit for me to have a look at. Diagnosed loose fan, he came up with a small hose clip, similar to the ones used on the red and black rubber fill hoses fitted to Hotpoint machines over 25 years ago, he clamped one to the fan with special pliers and it has been fine for over 12 months.

If you mean the white plastic bezel latch cover it is a 1602395. An e mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should get the wheels in motion.
