    Re: CDE129ALL Module /Wiring Mod/Smartcard

Do you mean the control module or the main power module in the base? No smart card needed for the control/facia module.

All the information regarding any wiring changes, module part numbers and eeproms is on Partfinder, although the commercial code you have given may be incorrect, it should be 032570.

It looks like a bit of a minefield due to module production changes on these, even a possibility that you may need the earlier type of module with a removable eeprom, heaven knows.??????

Thanks Mark, cheap enough to try and it won’t need dragging out. Will suck it and see, it did have a call out to a faulty child lock under warranty which was disabled by the Bosch tech at the time.

On the contrary Lawrence, I for one have told her via email and in phone conversations exactly that about cleaning. Still doesn’t alter the fact that these dryers are badly designed, made worse by cost cutting over many years.

    Re: Creda C366e Timer Fault

Part 117 is a small bank of rotary switches, part 118 is the main oven thermostat.

Reading the earlier part of this thread it was suggested that the control timer was the cause of your problems, not the oven selector switch or the thermostat?

That thermostat should just slot into the back of the selector switch. There should be wiring going to the rotary switch.

Sadly we do not have access to wiring diagrams, unless you know a friendly Indesit/Whirlpool company engineer you will struggle.

A 6201383 is not a control timer, it is the small switch bank that sits in front of the main oven stat, is that what you mean by ‘controller’?

There are two different control timers used on these cookers, full serial number needed to ID correct part.

Hmmm, asking people if they would want anything directly linked to Coca Cola in the first place might elicit some interesting responses. 😉

On these dryers with an LCD display E15 is supposed to be ‘main pcb not programmed’.

It could be a corrupted main board. 🙁

One number to many in that model number. 😉

However, if it is a 37664 then 2 of THESE are what you need.

I do them by turning the dryer upside down ( never do that with a washing machine or dishwasher BTW)

Then by removing the small kickstrip plate along the front edge and gently easing the front forwards taking care not to pull off any wires it is just possible to reach inside and change these pulleys as long as you don’t have very thick arms. 🙂

The alternative is a more complicated strip down.

I always remove the front fan cowling and fan first, then use a flat bladed screwdriver to ease the belt over the pulley.

Re: Hotpoint FDF780, fills then empties immediately, code A5

No capacitor used on these, bottom line is that it is a poor quality Indesit appliance.
I did ask in an earlier post if the wash pump actually runs at all?

    Error code 5
    Pressure Switch problem.

The machine has filled with 2.5 litres of water but the pressure switch is still in the
    empty position.
    • Check the filter or sump is not blocked.
    • Check the pressure switch is not stuck in the empty position (contacts 11-12) or
the pressure chamber or air tube are either blocked, unattached or split.
    • Check the wash pump is circulating the water.
    • Check the wiring to the pressure switch.
    • Check the edge connector blocks on the pressure switch and module card.
    • Check the outlet hose is not too low causing the machine to siphon.
