if your order the gen part it should come with a wiring diagram if there needs to be any changes from the original.

Ok, you disagree with a thread or two. Even comments that some people make… I’m sure we all have at some point… But to then turn & attack a website that is free and benefits 100’s of people in our trade throughout the UK just turns your posts into a laughable read!

    Indeed 😆

as i said ‘wouldnt bother me’ as i dont go to such things. my point is apple do and are trying to be to controlling, yes like plenty of other organisations and governments. like i want to be able to look at all websites of my choice on my smartphone not just those that apple decide upon because they dont like flash lol.

    Re: Which Smartphone ?

i had an iphone 3g worked relatively well my contract was up so i went and compared the samsung galaxy s2 with the iphone4 (ok the iphone 5 when its out would be the right compare but seeing hows it not available as yet) the samsung won hands down, size, speed, cost and what alot of ppl dont know is that samsung make alot of the chips for apple, there is a lawsuit going on atm where apple are suing samsung for using its technology in the galaxy s2. for me the samsung won. After 6 weeks of ownership i can honestly say its brilliant.

Re: Miele G646 SC Plus: no heater d/w

yeah on that one is 12v i think (going from memory) , earleir models was 240v, check the loom in the door, even though they are pretty well robust i have had wires broken there. fyi the heater relay has a perm 240v from the terminal block (on most of them) its the only component not isolated by the on/off switch. i will see if i have the circuit diagram if you wish ?

Re: Miele G646 SC Plus: no heater d/w

there will be a permanent 240v to the relay contacts, pcb energises the coil in the relay to close the contacts. if you are getting 240 at the coil and the contacts arent closing then the relay is goosed. Most common issue is heater pressure switch, either not enough pressure from recirc, ie its blocked or restricted in some way or the pressure switch is faulty. if all this is working and also the toc in the heater unit is ok and you have ruled out a wiring fault then last stop is pcb (ouch). btw EVERY miele has a wiring diagram usually tucked in behind the pcb on these i think.

wd40 works on some that is true. had a few that just would not budge no matter what though. im sure there is some release agent other than wd40 that would work , so if you find it let us know 🙂

if its well and truly stuck then remove the fields from the motor and cut the shaft off, of course the motor will need replacing ! if after 10 mins of trying its not moving then its not coming off !

I still have a Sinclair Spectrum in my loft

I still have a zx81 in mine, we are all entitled to an opinion, like i said ‘im all for change’ its not unreasonable to voice an opinion and ask a question where something is changed aesthetically that some don’t find as good as what was before.

Its been answered there isn’t the ability to work the two together so its a case of making do !
