    The part n/o you gave when i looked up didnt show an earth tag, but as Martin pointed out there are ways and means to effect a safe repair.

    Nearest i can see that might do is 2000 watt element from connect part n/o ELE9323.

    6KG the thing is martin is not a sealed drum, its a complete drum assy all assembled with front, back, inner drum and spider screwed together with a heater and and susp pins thrown in, for £79 its a good deal, part n/o is 1603410

    Hi John my mistake again its for a time share complex, they phoned me with details, ive given them a phone to check and it seems it might be ARC 5553/2 and the PNC N/O IS 850155515110 cheersJJ

    They have changed to differant part due to that one causing so many problems, have you checked the dryer element had a few of these or the wiring breaking causing these faults also.

    I would be going for the NTC as the wash one causes various faults due to them breaking down over time as they seem to become porous over time.

    Check spray arms, and also for an air lock in pressure hose which can cause this fault also.

    I have known a couple engineers that have managed to squeeze the balance weight in from the bottom, only problem is the new balance weight came loose and a new drum was required, thats the main failure on the Aqualtis is the balance weight coming loose, the 1st ones had a shakeproof washer on all the bolts and none of them seem to come loose, so unless you loctite the buggers in you will be back i’m afraid.
