Re: PAT tester damages Siemens dishwasher module?

well pat testing for a earth fault on Bosch appliances is a total waste of time in my opinion as I’ve been to so many with a earth fault on motor which a pat test does not pick up I had 1 last week which didn’t pick up low insulation on motor pass pat test motor was tripping electric. And the ex Bosch engineer I work with doesn’t use 1 on Bosch appliances which I found hard to believe

Is your pat tester set to 500v rather than 1000v for pat testing as I’ve damaged modules on washer testing at 1000v kai

Need to be able to download updates from giastech only option is knowing a engineer to do it for you or may be able to do it through giastech on connect not sure about that thou, Why I say the heater is the length is different on the 1 that’s on the machine compared to the p/n I give you,if you had taken these out of circuit and run the machine surely a fault would have come up, even if you met is out of date why didn’t you plug it in to read for any error as that will still work plus you have a function on there call boards manager which can give you part numbers for modules.

If you have a up to date mem loader and the module you have is the same the board can be re programmed to any washer dryer with that module fact! I think you have a selection issue I had a candy washer dryer and the dryer would come on no matter what programme you selected if the heater isn’t megging out at ol infinity I would look at changing that 1st sorted out the one I had part number for heater is HVR41042459 as they are having problems with the heaters check the wattage of heater 1st,hope this helps you kai ex gias engineer (Hoover)

I have been concerned that they would close my account I emailed the rep today she replied with someone from accounts would contact me. I don’t really get near £75.00 per month as work has been up and down and shop around for best prices, only thing that would bother me is connect having more business, when they had a rep in my area Mark most of my parts where ordered with them.
