    More than likely the cable that releases the door lock like the one on a bike nothing to do with the door itself I wount have thought the cable is probably stretched

    Yes motors fail a lot on these so change motor not cheap thou

    From what I’m thinking it could be error code 4 water in base check for leaks

    I would definitely look at the motor if you have changed door lock motor does cause the problem you have

    Hoover also had a problem with lint build up near top module which caused a few fires I personally wount look at any effected dryer unless the mod has been done bad maintenance is the main problem, design issue maybe but you could say that about numerous products that’s my opinion

    If your fitting the small belt the motor has to come out,if your fitting the main belt the motor lifts from bottom of top on the spring kai

    Ok the pcb has relays on it which brings the heater on so if your convinced that the heater which includes the stat and ntc are ok and the front 1are all ok the pcb will be faulty

    I’ve repaired a few gas dryers, drums do fail aswell and yes the capacitor is the same to change as a vented but I am gas safe personally if your not I wouldn’t get involved

    To check the front ntc you will have to remove lid fascia panel (control panel) remove door and front panel and its on the bottom left corner like I said in previous post most likely problem.
