Re: Diplomat ADP8332 – leaking into drip tray

never had one of these with two leaks before, i,ve had motor leak and spray everything , that could give u false leaks , i,ve had sump leaking where it drops to far on 1 side could be screw losse or new sump, only ever had an over fill from water comming back in from sink or valve letting by but that was when its was turned of.
my personal view is u unlikely to have 2 leaks from 2 diffrent things , unless u can be sure why yourself u will need to get a engineer.

    Re: ADP4501/5 whirlpool quick question

unsure of that number myself, but if its like the standard built in whirlpool dw that would be the motor supprt going throught that hole. f4 fault number is no draining if due to some time of not being used, i would say if it might have a black pressure sw in sump like a black disc that could be blocked with muck, they have very weak springs on them or maybe alots of crap in the spigit to sink or maybe drain pipe that has gone dry and blocked up. the odds of the drain pump going faulty at same time are unlikely.
stick dw on programme see if it fills then canc programme and see if water goes away and open door that will let u know if its pump or pressure sw

Re: Diplomat ABA4540 double oven – falling apart

i would make a guess a say would be repairable if u were able to get the parts.
only thing i ever had was the the dial being stuck inside and not springing out. the dial sits in a chamber with a black rim that sits on ya facia with like a large fixing nut on other side of fasia holding it there and the stat arm comes through it into dial with screw holding the stat to the chamber at bottom .
i would say if you could get controll knob / controll knob insert / controll knob insert fixing nut , then its fixable but maybe just a losse screw , will be no way of telling with out someone looking at it

Re: Diplomat Ceramic Hob… element or switch?

unplug first one way is if the regulators and wires going to them are all the same on the hob or /and write down where which wire goes to ie s2 p1 p2 ect and colour of wire , and switch it with another on the hob and wire both back in so no losse wires. if the element works then u know 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} its the regulator or not if you unsure .
model number normally on bottom of hob some hobs have 2 types of regulators. one ending in 550 was a fairly common one, model number should be on any paper work u might still have.

we all got told to drop all our gear /van stocks of at the nearest open mfi store , The people in the store could,t give a monkeys where u stuck it all, the manger did,t even want to take mine to start with, i kind of regret taking anything back now.
I bet 10,000s of pounds of parts/gear have just been skipped as they all closed down.
I bet u got a good deal tho, as the people in the shop would not of had a clue of there value.

    Re: Diplomat 8502 not working

f6 not filling with water, when the motor starts its turn the small leak into a spray and all the wires get wet and can give u tons of fake faults, untill it drys out or you have turn the water of or have a kinked pipe or faulty valve.

these models are reknown for wash motor problems ,
any kind of noise during the wash and u basicly need a new wash pump.
very rare u get drain pump problems on these unless somthing stuck in it and u get the noise on every drain

Re: ADP 8224 one-way rubber flap

the flaps come on new pumps , i would,t worry about it , just makes sure your waste out let has a high point in it ie higher that the sink drainage pipe or that it goes down a down pipe

    Re: Arms not spinning

model number normally on side of the door in print or label.
main reason for both arms not turning are that the spray arms holes are blocked. if not then most likely to be wash pump/capacitor depending on model,or module aborting the program before it gets to the wash.

    Re: ADP4501

    on disc/diagram its confusing
    diplomat/stoves
its show 733 for upper seal but there is no part number for 733 in list.
734 shows as bottom seal 031797200 before oct 2000
    and 032147301 after oct 2000 .
normally u have to cut these down to fit as they are to long.
i would guess reason there no number is that they are both interchange able from top and bottom other than the lengh that has to be cut tho this is a (guess ) hope this helps

Re: Diplomat ADP 0521 cooker problem

that is normal and the metal strip is ment to be there is part of the design.
you will lose heat from there nothing u can do, is designed to left the air in and out for the flame, but heat rises so u get heat comming out allso.
they also use same version of oven carcuss on the electric version as well with same seal and metal stip.
also as pen says if its the new type metal silver colour hinges then the door should be sitting at slight angle when main oven door fully open, if its sitting level or downwards hinges are gone as well i think .
