oops just realised that yours is a slim-line. so the adjustment may be less.

ParticipantRe: belling IDW 450 intermittent cleaning
these things usually under-fill by about a litre. that means that the pump activated switch does not turn on the heater.
after hours of trial and error in workshop, i discovered on the machine i tested (kenwood), that a quarter turn clockwise on the centre screw of the pressostat made it work fine. it has now continued working back in customers house for three months.
the confusing thing originally was that some cycles worked and others didnt.keithwilliams
ParticipantRe: Plastic Outer Drum repair?
i use soldering iron and run in a bit of surplus plastic. then rough-up the area around and then apply “chemical metal” from the car shop. blast it with hair dryer for quick set and its ok.
joking aside, ive looked inside a Bush lately and from what i saw id certainly have one over an indesit or hotpoint or even any of the other s@(#e with a welded tub.

is it just me or do you other guys find that when a drum spider breaks its usually after prolonged use of liquid detergent. it seems to cause osteoporosis. from what i can make out they need approx four to five years of liquid usage.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WAE24363 Fault Code F21
thank you ive been sitting on a mint machine locked on f21. ill find a motor for it and give it a go then best of all find a customer.
strangely though i did have another locked out in a customers home. she tried it a couple of days later and it worked without any reset method.

ParticipantRe: BOSCH WAE 24164
yes i would disconnect the heater and put the megger on it. the reason for this is that if it is wired so that both live and neutral are through relays then it will be out of circuit when meggering from plug.

ParticipantRe: bosch dryer
this dryer now belongs to me. so when i eventually get time to look at it ill report back. the reason i suspect a cap is that the symptoms are same as my kef subwoofer. the faulty capacitor prevents the relay holding closed, hopefully this will be same.

ParticipantRe: Siemens Dishwasher SN25M830UK E24 fault.
Multimeter is always out, the resistance quoted is exactly as read on this pump.I did try the reset and start new prog but it’s the same each time.
Again thanks for advice so far.

Thanksfor reply. I have since filled the tub manually and it does drain away ok. Everything seems fine until it should fill approx twoinutes, then it shows error. I have checked continuity to solenoid and solenoid is Reading ok. Is there a chance that fault code needs clearing? And if so what’s proceedire on this please.

ParticipantRe: Siemens Dishwasher SN25M830UK E24 fault.
I’ve got exactly same symptoms here. I’ve removed plastic wrapped around pump impellor but it’s made no difference. I’ll test pump for continuity in a minute but past that I’m stuck.

ParticipantRe: bosch dryer
got one of these today.
runs for about 20 minutes then the power cuts in and out repeatedly and you can here the power relay on the board clicking.
a quick answer would be great but i reckon itll be a faulty capacitor on the board.
any pointers please…?

thanks colin
i must admit its not on my tds discs. ill have to update i suppose.
even so i dont think this will be covered. i just get a bit down sometimes with electronics faults. eg two smeg dishwashers today.(need i say more). cos i dont have callout charge and do nofix no fee it would be nice to be more confident before i go.

thought id revive this thread.
got a new world dishy coming up e3 and again not on eco. messed on with it at home and finally worked out that a quarter turn on pressostat allows just the right amount of water in.
thought what a clever boy i am until ive just noticed that Seamy does this already.keithwilliams
ParticipantRe: Bosch diswasher Sgs55c02gb/71- draining problem
does the drain hose climb then fall away to outlet or is there loads of it lying on the floor.
if the latter then the entire hose will be full of water and may be a bit much for the pump to get going.other than that if this is a recent machine with underneath access ive had one where the beige coloured elbow on the drain hose had “delaminated” inside the bend and a flap of rubber was blocking the pipe. blowing through was ok but it wouldnt let water through.
hope this helps
